This is the island as seen from my house looking south. I've to thank my sister who alerted me to the unusual light on the bulidings that evening.

Really nice. You can see that from your house? Wow! It kind of reminds me of an Edward Hopper painting a bit for some reason. Maybe it's the lighting.

A very beautiful view you're having there! The lighting really looks great, I like those apricot-coloured tones in the sky and on the horizon in combination with the green of the island.

Thanks man. Yes, although the island is way closer looking in the painting than reality. Our house is like 300 feet from the beach. And getting closer, the cliffs are made of clay and get constantly eroded! We lose maybe between a foot and 3 feet a year. Someday the sea'll be closer to my room than the bathroom so I might wash there instead!

You're welcome Niall.:)
Erosion is a problem anywhere there's water,it seems. Here on Lake Michigan, they have the same issue.
I've seen quite a few houses that have slid down the dunes. Mother Nature eventually reclaims what was once hers,I suppose.
